Although born in an abandoned gold mining town on the west coast of the south island of New Zealand, Anaïs grew up on 10 acres in central Florida. She enjoyed planting a garden with her father, jumping from haybales, eating oranges from nearby orange groves and drinking raw goat's milk from Molly Jo, a pet. She's passionate about knitting, cooking, herbs, flowers and gardening. One day she hopes to return her country roots and live in a community of like minded folks.

As the biodiesel specialist in the family, Justin has brewed hundreds of gallons of waste vegetable oil. He has a green thumb and is passionate about growing and propagation -- too passionate sometimes! When not in the garden or whenever his face is not immersed in seed catalogs, he enjoys tinkering with bikes, helping the kids in the neighborhood fix their bikes, and leathercrafting. He hopes to one day have more acreage to grow even more plants.

Animals are one of her many passions, adopting and finding good homes for strays that happened to come in her life. She’s recently taken up guitar and has pretty much self-taught herself. She loves spending time in the kitchen whipping up delicious desserts. She hopes to one day have room enough to holistically raise and preserve heirloom poultry and stock.
