:: FILM DESCRIPTION ::

The Local Food Challenge (22 min)

Before you take another bite of food, think about where your food comes from. That is the message from the Local Food Challenge (LFC), a group of people who have committed to eating foods grown within 250 miles of where they live for one year.

These seven took the challenge because eating locally strengthens personal, community, and environmental health.

More about the filmmaker:

Sunny Johnson is a single mother, wild edible plants instructor, nutritionist, and adventure seeker. The Local Food Challenge documentary highlights seven people's lives in northern Minnesota, who challenged themselves to eat foods grown within 250 miles of where they lived for one year. She did the film on a whim with no past camera or editing experience.
