Path to Freedom's very personable 'Citified Farm Animals' are fun, gentle, affectionate, and easy-going. Our goats are leash-trained and obey commands like dogs and are very gentle. Our ducks and chickens have been hand-raised from babyhood and are very tame and easy to handle.
All animals can be fed and petted by even very young and small children.
Anais and Jordanne are the animals' handlers and will be on hand to answer a wide range of questions, talk about each breed/species and the animal's individual personality and habits and much more. From city codes, to feed, to training - through Anais and Jordanne's extensive knowledge, you'll actually be able learn how to have animals of your own, if you choose.
For each appearance, we ask organizers to (if applicable):
Coordinate venue arrangements (time, location, and equipment for the event).
Receive permission from event host or venue. Check laws, rules, regulations of event venue to see if animals are allowed, or make arrangements for rule exemptions. (if exemption was required and obtained, please provide us with a written copy of permission)
Arrange for an outdoor place animals can go for some quiet time and / or use for a bathroom. (usually required for indoor venues)
Make sure there is a place for us to refill water buckets and bowls for animals' drinking.
If you want a 'petting zoo' type exhibit, please provide a fenced-in area. We have carrying cases and cages, but haven't yet been able to buy a moveable pen big enough for children to get into.
As for fees, we would appreciate a fair and reasonable donation to pay for the goats feed, care and, of course, for our time. So if you have the funds and budget, please consider donating -- all money will go for feed, medicines, and equipment for our animals so they can provide joy to others.
Fill out the form to make a reservation and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Please provide as many details as possible (ie. type of event, commitment deadline date, type of audience size, etc...)
